- Clean the lint trap regularly. This is something that only takes a few seconds before each load of laundry.
- Clean the inside of the dryer. This is a maintenance item that is often overlooked, but the lint trap does not catch all the lint.
- Check and clean the vent hose and vent head. This is where many home inspectors find the most issue, so be sure to check and clean this item regularly.
- If you have a gas dryer, be sure to check the gas connections for leaks, wear, and damage.
