This is just a reminder to check your water heater. The average water heater only lasts 8-12 years on average, but can go even sooner that that. If your water heater is getting older, consider replacing it.
Whenever there is rust in the electric panel, moisture intrusion is a definite red flag.
When this is seen, it could be a number of issues. For instance, many times the electric meter outside the home is not properly sealed. When this is the case, water collects around the wire, goes into the meter, and then travels down the inside of the wire into the panel - very dangerous. Whatever the reason for the moisture, you should have this evaluated by a qualified electrician
